A Fresh Start: Creating A New Place to Call Home

Publishing in my own little corner of the internet is something I’ve been thinking about for a while, now.

I wanted a space where I can speak freely, share openly, and not worry about violating ever-changing community guidelines. Like many of you, I’ve poured my heart into online platforms, only to realize how fragile they can be and the potential loss of TikTok in January felt like a wake-up call.

It reminded me how fleeting some platforms are and why it’s important to create a home for my thoughts – a place where I don’t have to start over whenever the internet {or politicians} decide it’s time to move on.

Because starting over is exhausting!

Rebuilding from scratch, searching for your people all over again, and questioning if it’s even worth it – that’s why this feels like the right way forward. Here, I can let my thoughts wander freely, much like they do when I walk in the woods.

I can write about lessons from the dirt, the wisdom of plants, mysteries of the night sky, or simply reflect on the quiet chaos of painting with watercolors. I’m free to explore the quirky things that light up my world, without constraints, to create something lasting – something no algorithm, platform, or shutdown can take away.

I didn’t create this space to accumulate followers or chase trends and I’m not here to teach or monetize with ads. This is simply me sharing my weird little world as it is: curious, connected, and always a little messy.

My hope is that this site becomes a place where I can slow down, dive deeper, and stay connected to the community I’ve worked so hard to build.
