What Happens When You Leave a Comment?
When you leave comments on my site, I collect the data shown in the comments form. I also collect your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service, to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
What Happens If You Upload Images?
If you upload images to my website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to my website can download and extract location data from images uploaded to the site.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Any future website administrators I may have will also be able to see and edit that information.

E-Commerce and Payment Processing
If you buy something from my website, your purchase is processed through Easy Digital Downloads (EDD), which helps handle digital transactions. Payments themselves are securely processed by PayPal and Stripe – I don’t store or have access to your credit card details.
When you make a purchase, EDD collects your name, email address, billing address, and IP address to complete the transaction. Payment details, like your credit card number, are never stored on my website. Instead, they’re handled directly by PayPal or Stripe, both of which have their own strict security measures.
